This plant made gray iron castings, with an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons. The plant employed 110 people, and brought in over 2 million annually near the time of the sale to Grede. Grede had grown by the late 1970s to a complex of eight foundries in three states, with a total annual capacity of about 95,000 tons of iron and steel castings.
